To check out the details of orders:

1) Login to the the control panel

2) From the navigation menu, go to View Orders -> Today's Orders.

3) All pending orders from today will be displayed.

4) Click "Details" for each customer to view their specific order.

5) Once you have shipped their order, mark the item as "Processed" so you won't confuse it with fresh incoming orders. Processed ordered are automatically archived and removed from the grid. To view archived orders, simply select to view Processed orders, and choose how far back you want to go.

Verify payment before shipping!

Always cross-reference the order total with your paypal account statement to make sure your buyer has paid you before shipping the item.

Just looking at the View Orders page is not sufficient to validate an order. Only orders cross-referenced with Paypal are valid.

Tips

Common pitfalls of new online businesses

Always check your orders at least daily! This is especially true when you first start your business and receive sporadic orders several days apart. Neglecting your customers for several days, especially when your business is in its infancy, is not a good way to build your reputation!

Verify payment before shipping.

Double check to make sure you ship the right items AND the right quantities.

If given, record all tracking numbers. This is proof that you shipped the item and serves as your protection if a dispute should later occur.

Verify suspicous orders. If an order seems out of the ordinary or seems too good to be true, it is probably fraudulent. Call the buyer. If you cannot confirm the order, reject the payment. Remember, when a credit card fraud issue arises, the SELLER IS RESPONSIBLE!

Good Luck!
